Jiageng Lin is a Chinese artist currently based in Rochester, NY. His works explore the non-representational aspect of photography through the process-oriented, photographic abstractions.

His work asks the questions: How does a picture get made? And, how do people see photographs? Making non-representational images is a way for him to push the boundaries of photography. Photography is capable of much more than representing a particular moment.
